The Terre Haute Area Meals on Wheels program serves Vigo County.

Meal Program Details

Meals are delivered 5 days a week, between 10:30 am and 12:00 pm by volunteer drivers. Our meals are tailored to accomodate medical diets and food allergies. Meal recipients have a choice of hot meals, cold meals, or both plus their choice of drink.

Each hot meal is $4.00 a day

  • One entree
  • Two sides
  • 1 drink (juice or choice of milk)
  • served in seal containers that can be refridgerated or frozen, and can be heated in the oven or microwave

Each cold meal is $2.50 a day

  • Cold entree like a sandwich (lunch meat, tuna salad, chicken salad, egg salad, wraps, etc)
  • One side (pasta salad, potato salad, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc)
  • One fruit
  • 1 drink (juice or choice of milk)

We encourage clients to get both meals each day for maximum nutrition, and offer that at a discounted rate of $5.50

  • Spaghetti and meat sauce with green beans & spiced peaches

  • Ham & Beans with Cornbread & spiced apples

  • Roasted chicken with cream gravy on mashed potatoes with cheddar biscuit & beets

  • Cauliflower rice & beef stuffed peppers with Mixed vegetable blend & Garlic bread

  • Ground turkey stuffed Zucchini boats with broccoli with cheese sauce & Steamed rice

  • Beef tips over Rice with Roasted Brussel sprouts & spiced pears

  • Chicken stir fry over fried rice with  Asian blend vegetables & Spring Roll

  • BBQ Pulled Pork on bun with Scalloped potatoes & Peas

  • Sliced turkey with gravy with Potatoes O’Brien & Roasted Butternut squash
