We are incredibly thankful for the partners we have in our community! Please thank these organizations if you run into them when you are out and about. Thank you for the donation of a new stove for our kitchen! Maryland Community Church came to the rescue during the start of COVID-19, provided needed delivery drivers for our routes! Thiemann's is our office supply provider, and sent us a COVID-19 order with the bill paid in full! The Garrett Sands Kindness Project keeps finding new ways to spread kindness and help others, including us! We have received grants from both of these local organizations, and are grateful for their support! Rally's not only donated buns for a meal when we couldn't get any bread in town, but they also let us use one of their store freezers to store items for while! Thank you to the Employees of the Meadows First Financial Bank branch for their collection and donation. Alpha Gamma Delta awarded us a grant to help off-set the cost of meals for those most in need. Mothering as a Career Club voted for us to receive a $200 donation this year, and some of their members are delivery drivers for us! DSI drives for us every weekday, often fills in for extra routes, help with meal production in the kitchen AND do yard work for some of our clients! The Loyal Veterans Battalion allow us access to their clothing closet when any of our clients have a clothing need. Old National Bank chose us to receive a #GivingTuesday donation this year, to help with COVID-19 costs The Oakley Foundation has helped provide technology for our offices in the past, and this year they helped us get a new software system to manage our programs. First Farmer's Bank & Trust team drives for us every Tuesday, providing staff from multiple branches to cover the route. Duke Energy donated waterproof gear bags and items to start an Emergency Preparedness kit. We shared them with our staff and drivers! Through our affiliation with Meals on Wheels America, we were able to receive a donation of wonderful Bonrisu face masks! Our partnership with the Terre Haute Catholic Charities Food Bank allows us access to many fresh foods that are perfect for our fresh cooked meals! We use styrofoam coolers often, especially since COVID-19. The coolers allow us to make socially distanced deliveries. First Farmers Bank & Trust not only team drives for us once a week, but they also donated fresh pork for our meals through this wonderful program. Cardinal Spirits in Bloomington, Indiana, began making hand sanitizer at their distillery when the coronavirus emerged. Their donation of hand sanitizer helped us when it was hard to find in stores. Helping families and children is something we've always been passionate about, but are having a chance to do more often now. From Mothering as a Career Club, Borrowed Hearts, and the Crisis Pregnancy Center, we were able to provide this (along with our Emergency Food) to a young mother with a new baby and a 2 year old.
